The 3-Ingredient Marketing Strategy You Need

DISTRICT BRAND BAR 🥃

Your Marketing Mixologist

The time has come, Reader.

t’s beginning to feel like fall, which means it’s time to switch my official favorite cocktail from my beloved Aperol Spritz to a classic Negroni. Perfect timing, since it’s officially Negroni Week.

Yes, some people switch out their decor or wardrobe; I switch out my bar!

It’s the perfect cocktail for this time of year—bold, balanced, and simple, with just three ingredients: 1 part gin, 1 part Campari, and 1 part sweet vermouth. I love how easy they are to make, but even more, I love how customizable they are. You can swap out any ingredient to create a unique flavor that suits your taste.

Building your marketing strategy is just like crafting a Negroni—it’s about finding the right blend of ingredients that work for you.

I recently saw a post on Threads where someone said that everyone keeps talking about needing a marketing strategy, but no one ever explains how to start one. So, let me answer that for you right here with my own 1:1:1 recipe for success.

Here’s the simplest way to start: focus on the Know, Like, and Trust path to build your client journey. Each stage requires a different “ingredient”—in this case, the right marketing channels.

  • Know – This is where people discover you. Start by picking one or two places where your audience is most likely to find you, like social media, your website, or through collaborations. Keep it simple—you don’t need to be everywhere at once!
  • Like – Now that they’ve found you, help them connect with what you offer. Are you sharing content that resonates? It could be regular Instagram posts, blog articles, or an email series that shares your story. Choose one channel where you can consistently show off your brand’s personality.
  • Trust – Finally, build trust and convert them into clients. Where are you inviting them to take that next step with you? Maybe it’s through a discovery call, a sales funnel, or a webinar. The key here is consistency and clarity on how they can work with you.

Want a head start?

I’m giving you access to my Client Journey Template, which breaks down exactly how to move your audience from “Who are you?” to “I trust you with my business!” Download it below and start mapping out your marketing steps today.

So, what’s next?

Once you have your client journey mapped out and know which streamlined marketing channels you’ll focus on, it’s time to optimize those channels for your unique brand and tailor them to fit your marketing style and audience needs.

That’s where The Marketing Bar comes in. With daily actionable insights, you’ll get simple, effective steps to refine your strategy, keep your brand fresh, and build the consistency that leads to results—without the overwhelm.

Crafting your marketing strategy doesn’t have to be complicated—just like a classic Negroni, it’s all about balance. With the right tools and ingredients, you can create something simple, effective, and uniquely yours. And with The Marketing Bar, you’ll have everything you need to mix up a marketing strategy that works for your business.

Cheers,
Kristin
