You know that feeling you get when you have a new idea for your business and you are so excited to work on it, it's all you can think about?
And then it's ready for the world and can't stop talking about and just want everyone else to know about it and see just how much it can change their business?
It's the solopreneur's high that keeps us going during the hard times.
I'm on it right now. The Brand Bar relaunched this week. It was good before, but wow is it better now. Don't believe me? Take it from Kerry, who's been a house account holder since the beginning:
I'm riding this high all month. Every page, every email, every corner of my site where The Brand Bar lives is getting rewritten, and I want some of this energy to land on paper while I'm actually in it.
One of the jobs our brands have is to show that we love the work that we do.
When others can see that we get lit up by our work, they want in. It's infectious.β β I call this Brand Fun and it's the Brand Bar's theme for August.
Of course we aren't going to be riding high all of the time, but we can still make sure our brand carries that high for us.
Every month, house account holders get a recommendation of how to tweak their brand based on the month's theme. Mine is below, and coincidentally, it's timed perfectly with how I'm feeling right now.
Mine caught that my Signature Brand Edit page explains the half day beautifully and never once mentions that itβs my favorite work I do. So Iβm rewriting it this week to say what that room actually feels like from my side of the table.
β¨ There's a New Guy at the Bar We brought Cider (a 1.5 year old, 10lb goldendoodle) home a couple of weeks ago, from a lovely family who had just had a newborn and was excited for him to live a city/cabin life with someone who works from home. He's technically past puppyhood (and thankfully potty-trained and sleeps through the night) and has clearly not been informed, as he still loves to bark at every noise and bite when he plays. This month he meets our friends and finds out whether he likes to swim in the river.
β¨ 31 Days of Showing Up, and What It Showed I posted on six different marketing channels every day for all of July. And for those wondering, no I didn't go viral or get a ton of new followers. I liked being consistent and honed some of my systems to do that, but it was a lot of work and maybe little to show for it. I didn't plan on being sick, getting a new dog or truly overhauling the Brand Bar when I made the commitment to myself. So while I'm glad I did it, I'm not sure I would again.
β¨ Two Signature Brand Edit Spots Open in Augustβ It's a half day where we find what's actually signature about you, and you leave with a Playbook that answers every brand decision you make after that. Is this offer on brand, does this collab fit, why does this caption feel off even though it's technically fine? Hand it to your copywriter, your designer, or your AI tools and everything you're already paying for starts working harder. Grab one spot.β
β¨Pull up a seat. Itβs time to pour your signature brand.β¨
π₯ Cheers to a Transparent Brand
