Reader,
I'm writing this from Boise, Idaho, where I'm about to walk into the Kit Craft + Commerce Conference tonight as an official YouTuber!
I designed the backdrop, planned the strategy, figured out CapCut. It's real.
My show, Brand Bar Sessions, is live and there are three episodes up for you to binge. And they are all short (4 to 7 minutes) and designed to make you look at your brand a little differently.
Starting next week, new episodes drop every Thursday.
Here's what's already waiting for you:
βEpisode 1: What Makes a Brand Unmistakable? β
The one where I explain that je ne sais quoi some brands have and others don't isn't mysterious. It's buildable and I walk you through exactly what it's made of.
βEpisode 2: I'm Not a Bartender. I'm a Brand Strategist with a Home Bar. β
Why I built this show, what District Brand Bar actually does, and my House Rules (hint... vodka soda is not one of them!)
βEpisode 3: Strong Brand vs. Signature Brand β The 9 Elements That Make the Difference β
βThe one where I pull out all of my fun cocktail glasses to prove to my husband that we do have a need for more... plus a breakdown of all nine elements that separate a brand people remember from one they forget between tabs.

And here's a little BTS for my fellow nosy peeps:
πΈ I ordered a bar stool after seeing how slouching on a foam roller added 20lbs on camera. Do I also need a posture corrector? π€
πΈ I found a crack in one of my glasses mid-filming. Made a mental note. Forgot the mental note. Sliced my hand washing dishes later that night.
πΈ CapCut does not alphabetize its animations. There are dozens of them. Editing took significantly longer than expected for a person who likes things to be findable. Hopefully it gets easier from here!
But the show is live and I'm really proud of it.
If you've been reading these emails for a while and you like how I think about brand strategy, this show is more of that every week, from behind a bar, with a framework behind every cocktail metaphor. Subscribe so you don't miss an episode.
If you're new here and someone forwarded this to you: welcome. Start with episode 2. It'll tell you everything you need to know about why I built this and what we do around here.
I'll see you at the bar.
Cheers,
Kristin
P.S. If you've been wanting to understand where your brand actually stands right now, episode 3 is the one.
